School of Law students are subject to the Wake Forest University Student Code of Conduct (SCC), which is available at the link below.
As defined in the SCC, the Dean of Students is "the person or persons in a School or College with the functional responsibilities for administration of student conduct processes. This may include, but is not limited to, persons with the title “Dean of Students”, “Associate Dean”, “Assistant Dean”, or a committee charged with responsibility for student conduct."
At the School of Law, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs serves in the role commonly referred to as the “Dean of Students.” While this individual may adjudicate violations of the Student Code of Conduct in certain circumstances, the Academic Rules and Discipline (ARD) Committee typically presides over Law School student conduct violations. As an ex-officio member of the ARD, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs will play a role in these proceedings and may be involved in the resolution process, even when the ARD Committee retains primary adjudicatory authority.
